My name is Elena Fadeeva, I’m 44 years old, and I’m from Samara. I am currently the CEO of the Russian branch of an international company. We provide engineering services in the market. In addition, I am a mentor at the Academy and a mentor in my own course "Point of Growth."
Coaching came into my life last year when I started translating a mentoring program from English into Russian and decided to adapt it for Russian students and consumers. I thought it would be good to add some tools to better organize communication within the program. I started looking for options and found the 5 Prism Academy with courses "Act Like a Coach" and "Think Like a Coach." I didn’t hesitate long and took the first course. One course smoothly transitioned into the other. It provided so many tools that I saw immediate results, even during the learning process. The results of my mentees improved significantly, and I have no doubt that I’ll continue with the next course, which focuses on psychology.
Initially, my goal for the course was simply to expand the range of tools for my author program. But after completing the first module, I realized how much I liked coaching. I thought it would be nice to make this a parallel activity. I decided to take on several students for long-term coaching during the course, which worked out successfully. My first clients came while I was still studying.
This activity energizes me, brings me joy, and not only am I happy with what I receive, but also with what I give, seeing how my clients greatly improve their results and resolve their issues. Now, my goal is to obtain Level 2, or an ACC-level certificate.
Before the end of the course back in February 2023, I had already earned back my investment twice over, making more than 160,000 rubles. This is not even my main job, just a parallel activity. Now, I have three long-term coaching clients. The cost of a session is not high — 3,000 rubles per hour. My current goal is to go from three to five long-term clients per week.
As of now, I have earned almost 200,000 rubles from coaching since last September.
But coaching truly affects your entire life. I really liked something Yulia Zatulovsky said: "Don't thank me; now that you see it, you can’t unsee it." You begin to hear your interlocutor, client, mentee, family members, and colleagues differently — this really improves the quality of life in all directions. Not only do you become a more attentive listener — I call it an intellectual listener. People appreciate that during the conversation, your full attention is focused on what they say and how they say it. This shifts communication, for example, at work, to a whole new level.
When you engage with factuality, which coaching teaches us, you step out of the emotional realm, no longer reacting to emotions that often have nothing to do with you but are the result of something that happened before the conversation began. The ability to switch your focus to facts helps to quickly and efficiently resolve issues.
In the relationship with my husband and children, our level of understanding, mutual respect, and communication has grown significantly. My children are quite grown and independent, and I am very proud of the relationships we’ve built. But over the past six to seven months, we’ve started communicating even better, especially in everyday matters.
In my mentoring program, it’s also been a challenge because, as a mentor, you take on a different position. Here, I have the right to give recommendations because people come to learn from my experience. So, as a mentor, I lose a bit of that factuality. But with the addition of coaching, I have softened my rigid approach to mentoring, which my mentees have noticed. The presentation is now smoother, and the quality of the interaction has improved. It has created a more open atmosphere, a field of trust, and consequently, very high-quality results.
The most valuable takeaway from the course for me has been the ability to remain neutral and fact-based. To abstract, step out of the parental role, hear the other person, and respect their position from a factual standpoint.
I even feel a little envious of people who are just starting to discover this wonderful world. The Academy has been a big revelation for me. The lectures and schedule were organized so well that you could choose what worked best for you. The teaching staff — Yura Muradyan and Olga Rybina — is simply "one love." The students who attend are all open, cheerful, educated, interesting, and energetic. And all of this is amplified by the knowledge and tools provided by 5 Prism. I believe this is the best investment in myself I’ve made in the past couple of years.
You enter the territory of care, and in this space, it’s impossible not to achieve results. There’s fertile ground, wonderful information, and you’re surrounded by beautiful, intelligent people. I believe that all of this, combined with your own desire and trust in the choice you’ve made, leads
